It makes my heart full to see black women declare theyre beautiful. Coz when errbodys writing articles errweek bout why youre the ugliest and scummiest and nobody wants your ass along w the rest of the world. To still have selfesteem left even before personal trials and tribulations, is a feat. Takes an iron mental strength and will to be a functional black woman, one that can do that and even see beauty in herself, even moreso. Not just outter but inner beauty? Coz clawd knows anything we say or do is processed as mooching (even black men been joinin in) or emasculating or the last person who anyone would care abouts stupid opinion or scary. Selflove comes w a million extra hurdles for black girls. And the assault never ends. Selflove and being loved is something we should have equal chances at too.
